  • Netherlands: Proposed legislation regarding immigration was finally supported bu PvdA. At the same moment, Sayam Uddin Nessar, an imprisoned immigrant on hunger strike, was released and will wait outside prison to hear his request for a residence permit.
  • USA: Associated Press' two months phone records was secretly acquired secretly by US Justice Department. AP is now demanding the records to be returned and all copies to be destroyed, while this case might have connection to investigation related to terrorism and Al-Qaeda in Yemen.
  • Great Britain: David Cameron published draft bill on referendum on country's presence in the European Union. Many say that such a move was dictated by the rise of UKIP party in recent local elections.
  • France: FEMEN activists took action during an event about Jean d'Arc in Paris.
